Fifteen Minutes of Shame

Canada doesn’t feature in the news much over here; recently that’s changed.

In October Alice Munro won the Nobel Prize for Literature:

In July Mark Carney began his new role as the first ever non-British Governor of the Bank of England.

Also in July, there was a terrible train wreck in Quebec.

I never thought I’d say this about news from back home, but


Can we go back to radio silence now.

  1. Ford is more than a train wreck. He’s a bullying boob who barks and bellows (I’m looking for more b-words to extend the alliteration) and binds our city in baffling bluster. Front page news this morning in the New York Times .. not the kind of news Toronto needs. $##!!&
